Hello dA,
Long time no see!
Just wanted to pop over and check-in, letting you guys know that I still come around to dA every once in a while, but for the most part I've kind of moved over to Instagram and a couple other social media sites. I post pretty often on instagram, so if you have an account that's the best place to follow me!! :)
I now have a full-time job as a digital designer, and am (very slowly) working towards finishing my illustration portfolio and getting it off to agents/reps. It's been easier said than done, but i'm just still plugging away at it.
I also still update Redcoat West on the actual site: http://www.redcoatwes
An update and anyone know a 3D modeler?
So, i figured it's been forever and I should update... not that any one really reads my journals, but i feel i have to get a few things off my chest.
I'm still unemployed and trying to decide what to do with my life... As it stands now, I'm planning on going to school again for the January semester next year at the local college and take something in the Health Care industry. It seems to be the only thing that isn't reeeeaaally effected by the economy changes and the way I look at it, if i can get on casual and cover shifts, i can make decent wages and actually work on my own stuff without frantically trying to do odd-jobs to make ends meet.
Geez.eh...
it's 2016...
wow.
So I figured I would just do a quick update.
So back in October, I lost my job. It's apparently becoming a trend in theAlberta economy. It's sad, and it's been rough, but that's how it goes I guess. I thought losing my job would make me more lax with freelance work situations that wasn't very good or profitable, but man, I'm just not letting anything get the better of me anymore. Good for me.
I'm planning on sending out some art-cards to some agents and keeping an eye out for jobs, but I'm guessing, by the way things have been going so far, I will possibly be going back to school. Probably in health-care,cause thats like
Design Help!!
Hello!
So I have a favour to ask you guys! I'm designing charms for next year's convention run, and probably for online sale too, I'm trying to figure out what i want to do with my Tin charm I'm designing. It will be a wood charm, so he will have a kind of wood "boarder" around him, and i think it's a fun design. I am worried though that he will be to long and slender. But at the same time I don't...
Here's the design. (sorry it's like a giant screen shot, I'm rally tired haha.
So i'm trying to decide if the design is good as it is, or if i should ad something beside him or something... Any thoughts?

Heh... so I have a modern day RCMP character. Are crossovers okay?
